MagicProductions Tools · Player Recorder

Player Recorder

Player Recorder is an in-game scene tool that lets you record yourself doing actions, then replay those actions as NPCs. Build cinematic scenes, raids, movement paths, planting, vehicle scenes, animation scenes and multi-NPC moments without a full group of live players.

Player Recorder UI

When to use it

Record yourself walking, aiming, shooting or building; create multiple NPCs that act out different parts of a scene; re-record one part without rebuilding everything; capture lights, gestures, animations and outfits; record planting, vehicles, mounts and cargo; and replay the same scene for filming or testing.

Open it

CommandDescription
/playerrecOpens the main Player Recorder menu

Main areas

AreaWhat it does
Scene ListCreate, open, rename and delete scenes
Normal Scene EditorRecord, Play All, Play one, Retake, Recording Settings, delete and the playback panel
Advanced Scene EditorTimeline for start times, grouping, action markers and fine timing

Buttons & controls

ButtonDescription
RecordStarts recording your actions
StopStops the recording (auto-saves or shows save/retake options)
Play AllPlays every enabled recording in the scene together
PlayPlays one individual recording
RetakeRe-records an existing recording without rebuilding the scene
Recording SettingsPer-recording: general, playback, player model, damage, retake and speed
SettingsAuto Save, Save Name, Death Cleanup, Manual Clear, Teleport After Recording, UI, advanced mode, sounds, visual paths, NPC protection, restore defaults

Workflow

1. Create or open a scene. 2. Set up the area (props, lights, vehicles, chairs, planters, outfit). 3. Record your take. 4. Stop (auto-saves if enabled). 5. Repeat for each NPC. 6. Adjust timing in the editor. 7. Play All to preview.

Advanced Scene Editor

The timeline shows each recording as a bar, with markers for animation, shooting and building moments. Scroll vertically through recordings and horizontally through the timeline, and group recordings so their timing moves together.

What it can capture

Player Recorder captures everything you do while recording and replays it on the NPC exactly: movement, running, jumping, aiming, shooting, melee, raiding, farming, harvesting, looting, building, planting, gestures, cinematic animations, sticky lights, mounts and vehicles, painted wearables, and just about any other in-game action. If you can do it, it can record it.

Notable scene types

A few setups behave in special ways worth knowing about:

Scene typeNotes
Planting & buildingNPCs replant/place in the same spots; plants can be removed from the setup for a clean preview
Cargo shipReuse the same cargo setup; wait for the cargo countdown before recording or playback
Lights, animations, gesturesSticky lights, gestures, moveable gestures and cinematic animations
Mounts & vehiclesChairs, switching mountables, vehicles, helicopters, rocking chairs
Painted wearablesPainted egg suits and similar; paint and wear before recording

Helpful settings

Auto Save saves on stop with auto-incrementing names (cinematic 1, 2, 3). Death Cleanup / Manual Clear remove NPC bodies and dropped items. Teleport After Recording returns you to your start point for repeated takes.

Beginner tips: record short takes, test playback after every recording, use Retake instead of rebuilding, and start with one animation or mount before combining many. For complex scenes use grouping in the Advanced Editor.
MagicProductions Tools · Crowds

Crowds

Crowds lets you create groups of NPCs and make them run, chase or perform event-style scenes. Build scenes, add tracks, choose kits, set paths, play it all back, and clean up when you are done.

Key terms

TermMeaning
SceneThe main saved project (like a folder), e.g. Jungle Chase, Raid Test
TrackOne group of NPCs inside a scene; a scene can hold many tracks

Track types

TypeBehavior
RunNPCs follow a movement path you place
ChaseNPCs spawn and chase you after a countdown
RaidRocket raid scene (MagicPremium only for now)
FightComing later

Run tracks & paths

In a Run track, open Movement Path, click Add Points, walk to each spot to place points, then Finish and Play to test. Use the Curve button to smooth a path that turns too sharply. Place points on walkable ground, away from walls and cliffs, and use more points on tricky terrain.

Chase tracks

Set the NPC spawn point, adjust the chase distance, then Play. A countdown starts and the NPCs chase you when it ends. Great for events, escape scenes and timed challenges.

Track settings

SettingWhat it does
Track NameRename the track
FormationRandom, Line or Grid arrangement
KitSet current loadout, random kits, or no kit
CountHow many NPCs spawn
SpeedHow fast they move
SpreadHow far apart they stay

Kits

Set Current Loadout saves what you are wearing/holding for the NPCs (your own outfit can change later without affecting it). Random Kits picks from your selected saved kits, chosen in the Random Kits Browser. No Kit spawns plain NPCs.

Playback & cleanup

Per track: Play, Pause, Stop, Cleanup. Whole scene (Crowd Manager): Play Scene, Pause Scene, Stop All, Cleanup. Cleanup removes leftover NPCs, bodies, body bags and dropped items after testing.

Raid tracks (MagicPremium)

Raid tracks use Capture (save the base for regeneration), Spawn From, Raid From, Targets (rocket points), Single Raiders and Raid Settings.

Tips: keep paths simple, test with a small count first, use Cleanup often, and place points on walkable ground. For very complex scenes, use Player Recorder instead.

Clicking GRP gives you a skull trophy marker; hold it to keep the ground preview active and left-click to spawn. Controls: Animation, Random Animations, Random Kits, Held Item (your held / kit held / none), Count, Spacing and Pattern.

PatternLayout
LineNPCs in a row
GridRows and columns
CircleAround a circular layout
IrregularA natural, random-looking spread

Random kits & held items

Turn on Random Kits for varied outfits. With No Held selected, NPCs spawn with random kits but empty hands, ideal for peaceful or background characters.

Managing NPCs

The MANAGE tab lists spawned NPCs and groups. Rename groups, edit a group or individual NPCs, Play all, Stop all, Remove all, make NPCs face you, or highlight one NPC to find it.

Mounting

Use Mount while looking at a mountable object, or Mount All to fill nearby seats automatically (with radius, random kits and held-item options). Works on arcade machines, vehicle and boat seats, chairs and other mountable props.

Tips: start with a small Count, use Irregular for natural crowds, use No Held for background NPCs, and use MANAGE (highlight/edit) instead of deleting everything when one NPC needs a tweak.
MagicProductions Tools · Environment Editor

Environment Editor

Environment Editor adjusts how the world looks for your own view: time of day, fog, rain, wind, clouds, sky brightness, atmosphere and saved presets. Most member changes are personal and only affect your screen.

Environment Editor

Open it

CommandDescription
/envOpens the Environment Editor (Your View)

Reset clears your personal changes and returns to the server view. Close only hides the menu, it does not reset your changes.

Tabs

TabControls
PresetsApply, save and delete saved looks
AtmosphereSky brightness, contrast, haze, sun glow, blue sky, fog, sky rotation
WeatherRain, wind, thunder, rainbow, wetness
CloudsBrightness, coverage, opacity, size, sharpness, color
TimeTime slider, quick times (dawn to midnight), Use Server Time

Controls

Most settings use sliders with - / + buttons and a small per-setting reset. The top Reset clears everything. Make small changes first; settings can look extreme if pushed too far.

Demo & recording

For demos, avoid forcing a permanent time unless needed, or use Use Server Time / Reset before recording. Set your view first, then begin recording. It also follows your MagicMenu language.

Remember: Close only hides the menu, use Reset to undo. Your View changes are personal and other players will not see them.
MagicProductions Tools · ImageManager

ImageManager

ImageManager saves image links and places them onto signs, photo frames, pumpkins and other paintable objects. Keep your images in one menu instead of retyping links, and clear a sign directly from the menu.

ImageManager

Open it

CommandDescription
/imageOpens the ImageManager menu

You don't need to look at a sign to open the menu, but you must look directly at the sign or frame when applying or clearing.

Buttons

+ Add ImageSave a new image link (URL + optional name)
ApplyPlaces the selected image on the sign you are looking at
Clear SignRemoves the image from the sign you are looking at

Workflow

Open /image, click + Add Image, paste your URL (add a name), Save. Look at the sign, find the image in My Images, and click Apply. To remove later, look at the sign and click Clear Sign.

Tips: keep image files at 5MB or less, aim directly at the exact sign before Apply/Clear, and save commonly used images once for fast reuse. Follows your selected server language.
MagicProductions Tools · Magic Menu

Magic Menu

Magic Menu is the main in-game hub for the server's creative tools, bringing cinematic, building, environment, spawning, skin, kit, controls, language and quick-access features into one organized place, so you don't have to remember chat commands.

Magic Menu

Open it

Open Magic Menu with the server's menu command or assigned keybind, then browse tabs and tool cards.

Main tabs

TabContains
CinematicsPlayerRecorder, Animations, Crowds, Sticky Lights, Sticky Backdrops, Motion Tracker
Building & EditingBuild, RustEditMode, Bases, ImageManager, Rotating Objects, entity scale
EnvironmentWeather, time, lighting, ocean, nature, atmosphere
Entities & SpawningRust entities, props, vehicles, crates, placeables
Skins & KitsKit and skin tools

Tool cards & quick-access pins

Each tool is a card with Details, an Open button and a Pin button. Pinning adds a tool to your quick-access area for faster opening; pinned tools can be moved with Save / Cancel / Remove options.

Language

A language selector switches the menu across 14 languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Turkish, Italian, Polish, Dutch, Arabic).

Controls & MIDI

The Controls tab shows in-game binds, demo binds and MIDI controls. The MIDI tab has MIDI Setup (Enable MIDI, Debug Mode to print note/channel in the F1 console) and MIDI Presets (ready-made cinematic binds with editable Note, Channel and Range).

Tips: pin your most-used tools, browse by tab, and if a MIDI preset fails, make sure MIDI is enabled and the note/channel match your controller (use Debug Mode to find them).
MagicProductions Tools · MotionTracker

MotionTracker

MotionTracker places cinematic tracking markers and ready-made cinematic prop setups. Quickly place marker visuals, illuminated versions, and saved scene objects like computer stations with marker screens, without rebuilding them by hand.

MotionTracker

Open it

CommandDescription
/mtOpens the MotionTracker menu (Spawnables, Markers, Manage)

Tabs

SpawnablesReady-made setups (computer stations, screens, props, lights). Press Give, then place
MarkersTracking marker presets. Give opens a Base / Illuminated choice if available
ManageEdit placed items: position, rotation, scale, change a spawnable's marker image, or remove

Marker editor

The editor sits on the left so you can see your changes. Adjust Position, Rotation and Scale on X/Y/Z, set the Nudge Step (how far each arrow press moves it), and switch Local vs World movement. Use Local on rotated objects, screens and angled surfaces; World for simple open-space movement.

Versions

Base is the normal marker; Illuminated is a bright neon version for visibility. The placement item stays usable so you can place more without reopening the menu.

Tips: use Spawnables for a quick ready-made setup, lower the Nudge Step for fine placement, try Local movement on angled surfaces, and change a spawnable's image from Manage after placing it.
MagicProductions Tools · Build Tool

Build Tool

The Build Tool helps you build faster: quickly give yourself build items, choose grades and skins, manage wallpaper, power electronics, and use creative options, without constantly crafting, restocking or running commands.

MagicProductions Tools · RustEditMode

RustEditMode

RustEditMode is an in-game editing tool for moving, rotating, scaling, selecting and deleting placed entities, using a hotbar-style interface instead of awkward commands.

RustEditMode

Open it

CommandDescription
/edit or /emToggles edit mode (run again or press Exit to leave)

Hotbar tools

Above the hotbar: Entities (browser) and Settings.

Controls

Move: Left/Right mouse moves along the axis; R cycles X/Y/Z (Shift+R backward); Shift = faster, Crouch = precise. Looking up/down won't drag the object vertically (use Move Y). Rotate and Scale use Left/Right mouse with Shift (faster/larger) and Crouch (precise).

Settings

Speed Settings adjust rotation speed, movement speed and scale nudge (preset buttons or typed values like 45deg/s, 4x, 0.25x). Keybinds set Cycle Tool Next/Previous.

Tips: Select first, then Move/Rotate/Scale. Use Move Y only when you want vertical movement. Lower speeds/nudge in Settings for precise work. Delete removes entities, it isn't for adjusting them.
MagicProductions Tools · Kits

Kits

Kits lets you quickly apply saved loadouts and outfit options without sorting everything by hand. Gear up fast, reset into a clean setup, and change underwear/outfit styles from one menu.

Kits menu

Open it

CommandDescription

Workflow

Type /kit, browse kits, pick one and click Apply; your inventory is replaced with the kit. For outfits, open the Underwear section, choose a style and Apply.

Tips: use Details if unsure what a kit contains; if a kit feels "stuck", apply again or use Clear Inventory first. Applying a kit replaces your current setup, so pick the right one.
MagicProductions Tools · Base Manager

Base Manager

Bases lets you save, browse, spawn, organize and edit bases from a clean menu, instead of typing long commands or remembering file names. Preview, favorite, spawn, edit active bases, and save versions or tiers.

Base Manager

Open it

CommandDescription
/baseOpens the base browser

Tips: clear the search if a base is missing, increase the capture radius and use Show if a save misses parts, and use the Pos tab to fix height/rotation after spawning. Follows your server language.
MagicProductions Tools · SkinBox

SkinBox Custom Skin Add

SkinBox Custom Skin Add lets you add custom skins to SkinBox from a simple menu. Choose the item, enter the skin ID, give it a display name, and receive the skinned item, no waiting on staff.

Tips: start with one or two lights at low intensity, use Spot to aim and Point for soft glow, save presets often, and use Hide Fixtures when the light objects distract from the scene.
MagicProductions Tools · RustEntities

RustEntities

RustEntities is an entity browser and placement tool. Browse categories, search, and spawn or receive a placement item for props, vehicles, animals, NPCs, trees and nature objects, for decorating, scenes and testing.

RustEntities

Open it

CommandDescription
/entitiesOpens the RustEntities browser

Tabs & search

Tabs include All (everything in one searchable list), Vehicles (e.g. Hot Air Balloon), Nature / Trees (many tree variants), plus animals, NPCs, loot, decor, props and cinematic items. Each tab has a search bar, use short words like tree, balloon, snow.

Placing

Click an entity card to spawn it directly, get a placement item, or call it at your target. Placement items are reusable, they stay in your inventory and don't stack, so you can keep placing without reopening the menu.

Tips: use the All tab when unsure which category, use short search words (clear the search if empty), and keep the placement item on your belt to place multiple copies. Some entries may have no preview image.
MagicProductions Tools · DeepSeaSettings

DeepSeaSettings

DeepSeaSettings is the control panel for the Deep Sea event area. Check status, travel to or from the area, and (with access) open/close the event, spawn content and manage settings, without remembering commands.

Some users can spawn boats/patrols at their aim point: PT Boat + 2 RHIBs, PT Boat Only, RHIB Patrol, with Undo Last / Undo All. Aim at water inside the Deep Sea area.

Tips: start on the Status tab; if travel fails, Deep Sea may be closed or on cooldown; aim at water before spawning and use Undo Last for misplaced spawns. Use Force Open/Close carefully. Follows your MagicMenu language.
MagicProductions Tools · Admin Menu

Admin Menu

The Admin Menu is your in-game staff control panel, a clickable menu that toggles handy tools on and off with no commands. Each tool is a card; click to turn it on (it lights up) and again to turn it off, with on-screen indicators for what's active.

Tips: start with a small radius/count, let Auto-Detect pick the look, turn off types you don't want, and use Undo Last freely. MagicPremium members can place without a wait between clicks.
MagicProductions Tools · Rotating Objects

Rotating Objects

Rotating Objects turns any item or deployable into a smooth floating, rotating centerpiece. Drop items into a scene and they lift and spin automatically; a side panel adjusts movement, size, tilt and cinematic glow lights. Build trophy displays, shrines, shop showcases and glowing set pieces.

Edit panel

The left-side panel adjusts Position, Rotation, Scale, Color and Step (arrows or typed numbers), with Reset, Copy and Done. Presets load as one group you can move together or fine-tune per panel.
